Job Title: Technical Architect

Role Summary

The Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, owning, and governing the end-to-end architecture blueprint of an in-house, cloud-native enterprise system undergoing modernization. The role establishes the technical foundation of the new platform, ensures scalability, security, and audit readiness, and enables data-driven and AI-enabled capabilities where appropriate. The role also provides limited, time-bound architectural guidance to the legacy platform to ensure operational continuity during transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, draw, and maintain the end-to-end architecture blueprint, covering:
  • Application and service architecture
  • Data, integration, and event flows
  • Security, access control, and compliance design
  • Cloud infrastructure and deployment model
  • Design scalable, secure, and modular solutions using public cloud services, primarily on Google Cloud Platform, across:
  • Application and compute
  • Data and analytics
  • Integration and messaging
  • Security and identity
  • Networking and observability
  • AI and machine learning
  • Select appropriate cloud services based on business requirements, risk, performance, scalability, and cost.
  • Define architectural patterns for API-driven, event-based, and microservice-oriented systems.
  • Establish the data and AI architecture, enabling analytics and AI-assisted capabilities using cloud-native data and AI/ML services where applicable.
  • Ensure AI-enabled components follow governance, explainability, security, and auditability requirements, with clear separation from rule-based logic.
  • Provide architectural direction, standards, and technical guardrails to development and DevOps teams.
  • Review and approve solution designs, major technical decisions, and implementation approaches.
  • Ensure the platform supports logging, monitoring, resiliency, data integrity, and future expansion.
  • Provide limited architectural support to the legacy platform, focusing on stability, risk reduction, and transition readiness.
  • Act as the primary technical authority during the platform foundation and modernization phase.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 610+ years of experience in solution or system architecture.
  • Strong experience designing enterprise, cloud-native platforms.
  • Proven background in:
  • Distributed systems and microservices
  • API and integration architecture
  • Security and data governance
  • Experience with public cloud platforms and managed services.
  • Solid understanding of data platforms and AI/ML integration patterns.
  • Experience supporting legacy systems during modernization initiatives.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Cloud Experience Requirement

  • Google Cloud Platform experience is preferred.
  • Strong equivalent experience in AWS or Azure is acceptable, provided the candidate demonstrates the ability to adapt and design effectively on Google Cloud.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in regulated, mission-critical, or large-scale enterprise systems.
  • Experience designing data-driven or AI-enabled platforms.
  • Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure architecture certifications.
  • Willing to work onsite at our Ortigas Center office and comfortable with UK time hours
