The Technical Accounting Supervisor is responsible to manage and oversee various types of projects (e.g. 10Q/K Review, Technical Memorandum write-up, Conversion of Financial Statements to/from U.S. GAAP and IFRS, etc.) depending on the needs of his/her assigned client.
The Technical Accounting Supervisor is a leader who works closely with the Manager by helping in the operational responsibility in handling clients, people and processes under their respective silos. The Supervisor will supervise all assigned staff and will be responsible for coaching them and assisting them in their growth path with the Manager.
Most importantly, the Technical Accounting Supervisor is required and expected to exercise leadership skills and demonstrate total competence and experience in helping his/her Manager and the team as they manage in achieving the overall growth of Scrubbed, the attainment of its mission and vision, aligned with its values, and culture. All these are to be performed with utmost honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
Must be always updated on technical accounting developments and issues
Ensure that deliverables are prepared in accordance with the Client's request and preference
Demonstrate ability to lead, conduct future team learnings, and recommend process improvements
Must have keen attention to details, and understands how timeliness and accuracy of work impacts overall client experience and other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Identify technical issues that arise during the course of the engagements and research the relevant technical and regulatory guidance affecting the Client's transaction/position
Prepare and draft process documents and technical memos
Attend to internal inquiries/consultation, article write up for FasTalks, prepare firmwide training materials and assessment and facilitation of trainings
Maintain strong relationship with existing clients, including involvement in networking and business development activities
Provide both leadership and supervision to staffs and engagement team
Review and supervise staff work to ensure timeliness and accuracy of work
Participate in training and coaching of staff by providing them timely constructive feedback
Responsible in dealing with the client and ensuring a good relationship with them
Qualifications
Ability to explain complex financial data in clear, straightforward language
Ability to apply knowledge in both IFRS and U.S. GAAP
Ability to work with other service lines and group (i.e. Tax, accounting, audit)
Develop and demonstrate independent thoughts and leadership ideas that can further enhance our drive towards operational and service excellence
Effective verbal communication skills
Ability to support the client's life cycle and the relationship
