Role: Team Manager - BlackLine Local Admin

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

The scope of the role will continue to broaden, but key areas of responsibility are as follows:

People
  • Collaborate with local finance teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, process excellence, and continuous improvement.

Partnership
  • Serve as the first point of contact for Blackline-related queries from local finance teams and auditors.
  • Ensure strong collaboration with global system admins and other GBS functions.

Operational
  • Manage user access (creation, modification, deletion) and role assignments in Blackline.
  • Configure reconciliation templates, account groups, and risk accounts for local entities.
  • Oversee maintenance of reconciliations, tasks, and journals, including bulk updates and imports.
  • Support local statutory reporting and audit evidence delivery.
  • Monitor SLA compliance and deliver monthly reports.

Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within Blackline.
  • Support system enhancements and migrations impacting local entities.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing across the Blackline admin community.

Skills and Experience needed
  • Minimum 8-10 years of finance and accounting experience, preferably in Shared Services or multinational organizations.
  • 6-7 years of deep experience with Blackline or similar reconciliation tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/local GAAP).
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience of complex, fragmented finance systems landscapes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong collaboration and partnership mindset, ability to work in a matrix organization. Cultural awareness/understanding agile in adapting approach to optimize working relationships.
  • Experience in automotive or FMCG industries is an advantage.
