Deutsche Bank's Chief Data Office (CDO) function sits in the Technology, Data and Innovation (TDI) division. CDO works closely with divisional and infrastructure teams to define the bank's data strategy and action plans (e.g. front to back data delivery via Data Exchange Registry(DEX), data controls and DQ monitoring, AI & analytics).
CDO Exception Management is responsible for performing critical control functions on published producer data services in the Data Exchange Registry(DEX). This includes the management of DQ exception framework, daily reporting and exception / incident management, operational KPIs and performance reporting to business units.
The team will also work closely with CDO's Data Insights team to develop and automate the key DQ analytics and remediation capabilities and technology teams for the build out of DEX DQ services and functionalities.
The team will perform data quality checks (i.e. timeliness, schema, etc.) using both DEX and EDS applications and raise dbUnity incidents and requests to the appropriate production support teams for resolution.
Other elements of the service will include publishing of DEX data timeliness/quality metrics and reporting, monitoring RDQ UWQ data challenges and raising recurring and systemic issues to the upstream publishing divisions/applications.

- Consumers as recipients of our reports: Basically our customers. We provide timely and accurate reports on data quality, timeliness, and other key metrics to our internal stakeholders and business units, empowering them with the insights needed for informed decision-making.
- Pune/London counterparts process handshake: We collaborate closely with our counterparts in Pune and London to ensure seamless process handoffs, alignment on data governance standards, and consistent execution of our control functions across global teams.
- Data Producers issue management: We actively manage issues identified with data producers, raising incidents and requests with appropriate production support teams for resolution, and collaborating to address recurring and systemic problems.
- KPI/Metrics: We define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and other relevant metrics related to data quality, timeliness, and exception management. These metrics drive continuous improvement and demonstrate the effectiveness of our data governance efforts.
