Job Description

Tax Specialist Clerk – Payroll Tax Operations (Up to ₱33K | Night Shift | FREE AI Certification)

Cebu City | Onsite for 2 months, then Hybrid | 10:00 PM–7:00 AM PH Time

You manage the intake, setup, and tracking of payroll tax notices and amendments submitted by clients and internal teams. Your work ensures that tax-related documentation is accurately logged, indexed, and processed within defined systems so inquiries and compliance actions move forward without delays.

This role operates within structured queues, documentation standards, and reporting cycles aligned with a U.S.-based payroll and tax operations environment. It suits professionals who are detail-oriented, comfortable working with data and documentation, and who perform best in roles that demand accuracy, consistency, and measurable output.

YOU'RE LIKELY A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE

  • Experience handling payroll, tax documentation, or compliance-related administrative tasks
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email-based workflow management
  • Experience working with structured systems, databases, or documentation platforms
  • Exposure to payroll or tax software (experience with payroll platforms is a plus)
  • Willingness to work night shift (10:00 PM–8:00 AM) and complete the initial onsite onboarding period in Cebu

Responsibility Pillars

Tax Notice & Amendment Processing

You ensure payroll tax notices and amendments are accurately set up and documented so compliance workflows move forward without delay.

  • Process tax notices and amendments following defined submission and documentation standards
  • Validate tax periods, submission types, and client information before system setup
  • Maintain accurate documentation for both client and agency records

System & Documentation Management

You maintain the integrity of the tracking system used by the payroll tax operations team.

  • Log and track tax notices through the Agency Notice Tracking System (ANTS)
  • Import and index client records to enable automated OCR processing
  • Maintain accurate client data to support inquiry setup and resolution

Inbox & Workflow Monitoring

You ensure incoming requests are captured, prioritized, and routed correctly within the operations workflow.

  • Monitor team inboxes for incoming tax notices and inquiries
  • Log priority requests and confirm receipt through automated responses
  • Assign and distribute notices for processing within the team

Reporting & Operational Visibility

You maintain operational visibility for the payroll tax operations team.

  • Produce daily reports on tax specialist productivity and notice volume
  • Track outstanding tax notices and amendments for operational monitoring
  • Maintain reporting accuracy for leadership review
