Tax Manager
About the Role
Overall responsible for the tax planning and compliance of the business unit. Lead the company's tax function, and ensuring full tax compliance.
Responsibilities
- Conducts periodic tax compliance review for the business.
- Address tax issues and handle tax compliance (both Local and National Taxes).
- Handles BIR, LGU and Customs audits and permit requirements.
- Serves as point of contact person for all tax matters of the business unit.
- Manage all tax-related activities, including planning, reporting, and filing, while proactively identifying risks and opportunities for optimization.
- Knowledgeable on applicable tax regulations; can provide advice and information to the business unit regarding tax requirements, procedures and compliance.
- Coordination with audit and inspection, defending the company's tax positions and ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accountancy, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- At least five (5) years of experience in Tax Compliance, Tax Advisory and Tax Audit.
- Adept with tax laws and regulations, including recent trends and updates.
- Strong knowledge and proficient with Accounting Standards.
- Hands-on experience of full-cycle BIR, LGU, BOC tax audits.
- Strong knowledge of all tax compliances, tax reporting and tax saving ideas.
