We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to oversee all tax-related matters within our organization. The Tax Manager will ensure compliance with local, national, and international tax laws, provide strategic tax planning advice, and manage tax reporting processes. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills to support business operations and optimize tax efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all tax-related activities, including corporate income tax, indirect taxes (VAT/GST), payroll tax, and transfer pricing.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation, review, and filing of tax returns in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position while mitigating risks.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate recording of tax provisions and compliance with accounting standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities as required.
- Provide guidance and training to finance and accounting staff on tax-related matters.
- Assist in tax audits, dispute resolution, and correspondence with tax authorities.
- Prepare management reports and provide strategic recommendations on tax planning opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate taxation, preferably in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of local, national, and international tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with corporate tax planning, compliance, and reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
