MediCardis currentlylooking for assertive, dynamic and energetic individuals to fill up the following vacancy:

Responsible for developing and implementing tax strategies, tax accounting and tax filing / reporting to optimise the tax paid by MediCard Philippines, Inc. and to ensure compliance with AIA group tax policy and statutory and regulatory requirements

. Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and related attachments to the relevant taxation authorities
. Ensure internal controls related to tax are effective to mitigate tax risks
. Prepare tax position papers to document recommended sound tax treatments to alleviate tax burden and devise legal means to minimise tax liability using thorough knowledge of tax laws and regulations
. Manage tax audits by liaising with external tax consultant, recommend and review protest letters, reconciliations and supporting schedules prior to submission
. Coordinate with external auditors during audits
. Support transfer pricing documentation and compliance
. Conduct impact assessment of existing and upcoming tax legislations to support Medicard's tax planning and tax strategy
. Engage with external tax consultants to keep abreast of tax and regulatory developments and provide tax advice to internal stakeholders
. Supervise and mentor the Tax Senior Associate and Tax Associate
. Certified Public Accountant with at least five years of relevant experience from a Big 4 Firm or from a private company in a tax capacity role
