Job Description

Accountalent is a U.S.-based tax compliance and accounting firm serving US startups of all sizes. 99% of our clients are C-corporations, which means 99% of your work will be the preparation of US corporate income tax returns (federal and state). We distinguish ourselves by focusing on client service, professionalism, integrity, and the strategic use of the latest technologiesrather than emphasizing rigid work schedules or locations. Our team specializes in delivering accurate, timely tax returns, and providing proactive advocacy on behalf of our clients.

What we need:

We are seeking to hire an experienced PH-based Tax Compliance Senior Corporation Tax that has worked with more complex corporate clients to join our remote tax team. This is a client-facing role, where you will serve as the primary point of contact for a set number of clients. Having an ownership mentality will be crucial to be successful in this role. You will manage the annual tax compliance relationship with the client from start to finish -- from initial data gathering for the tax return workpapers, through extensions, onto sending out the draft of the tax return to the client, where you deliver a review ready set of returns to the Senior Manager/Tax Director and all of the steps in between. You will be the client's primary point of contact and serve as their liaison with other Firm services. The ideal candidate is an energetic, confident CPA with excellent communication skills who has experience working with C Corp clients. You need to have meaningful experience preparing workpapers and returns for federal (F1120), state income and franchise, and foreign information reporting (F5472, F5471, and other similar forms) returns.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of C-corporation income tax return preparation (Form 1120) handling complex clients (multistate (5 or more states) corporate income tax returns that may include F5471)
  • Actively licensed CPA or working towards completing CPA requirements or IRS Enrolled Agent
  • Solid understanding of US Tax Compliance, US (federal and state) Income Tax Return Preparation, general Tax knowledge, and basic Accounting Concepts
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams
  • Effective tax research skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills
  • Must be comfortable communicating directly with clients via email, telephone, and video calls
  • Strong technology skills including proficiency in using tax software, project management, and communication tools suitable for remote work environments (e.g., Drake Tax, CCH Axcess, Slack, Microsoft 365, remote meeting tools, project dashboards)
  • Positive attitude, strong ethical judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality, along with a results-driven mindset
  • Successful completion of background check and provision of professional references are required prior to employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Large company corporate tax compliance including working with clients subject to financial statement audit and with tax provisions (AT does not prepare tax provisions)
  • Familiarity with startup financial challenges is a plus

What we offer

  • Competitive compensation package, including performance-based incentives
  • A flexible, fully remote work environment
  • Annual bonuses
  • Opportunities for professional development, leadership training, and career advancement
