You own the regulatory integrity and statutory standing of GoTeam. You are not a coordinator for tax filings; you are the guardian of company compliance, responsible for ensuring that every interaction with the BIR, SEC, and PEZA is accurate, timely, and optimized. You eliminate regulatory risk by maintaining a disciplined calendar of filings and audits that leave zero room for surprises or penalties.

This is an internal role that exists to protect the organization's financial reputation and operational licenses. Best suited for professionals who prefer hands-on ownership, possess an uncompromising eye for detail, and thrive in a structured environment where regulatory discipline is the primary measure of success.

You're likely a strong fit if you have

• Mid-to-senior experience in Philippine tax compliance and statutory reporting
• Strong knowledge of local regulatory requirements (BIR, SEC, PEZA, BOI, and related agencies)
• Experience managing audits, filings, and compliance cycles with accuracy and timeliness
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, able to maintain structured documentation for audits and reporting
• Comfortable with an onsite work setup in Cebu City, collaborating with internal finance leadership and external partners
• Ability to use AI-enabled tools to streamline compliance and reporting processes
• Structured, disciplined mindset, ensuring regulatory deadlines are met without surprises
• Proactive in identifying tax risks and providing actionable insights for planning and mitigation

Strong Signals

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a significant advantage.
• Experience navigating PEZA/BOI reporting requirements and incentives.

Responsibility Pillars

Tax Governance & Filings

You own the end-to-end accuracy of all tax-related obligations, ensuring 100% compliance with Philippine law.

• Execute timely and accurate filings for all monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (Income, VAT, Withholding, etc.).
• Reconcile tax records against internal financial statements to identify and resolve discrepancies immediately.
• Lead the preparation for annual tax audits and respond to regulatory inquiries with professional authority.

Statutory & Agency Compliance

You act as the primary bridge between the company and government agencies, maintaining GoTeam's Good Standing status.

• Manage the full lifecycle of statutory renewals and reporting for SEC, PEZA, and local government units (LGU).
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulatory requirements, providing leadership with actionable impact assessments.
• Ensure all business permits and registrations are maintained and displayed according to legal mandates.

Audit Readiness & Documentation

You transform complex regulatory requirements into structured, retrievable, and audit-ready data assets.

• Build and maintain a standardized Single Source of Truth for all compliance-related documentation.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants to streamline year-end financial reporting.
• Audit internal financial workflows to identify tax risks and implement mitigation strategies.
