Description
The Junior Tax Accountant PH is responsible for ensuring the Company's adherence to tax regulations and requirement in the Philippines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax laws
- Monitor changes in tax regulations and update internal processes accordingly
- Ensure other related compliances to BIR, SEC, DTI, and Local Government Unit (LGUs) are met.
- Assist in securing BIR certifications and maintaining accurate tax documentation
- Conduct analysis of tax regulations to ensure compliance and identify potential tax planning opportunities.
- Collaborate with HR, Admin, and other departments to gather necessary information for tax compliance
- Prepare for and manage tax audits by maintaining comprehensive and well-organized documentation
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or accounting, or comparable work experience
- 1-2 years of progressive experience in Philippine Tax
- Certified Tax Technician (CTT) is preferred, but not required
- Solid knowledge of Philippine Tax Laws (National Internal Revenue Code)
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 helpful
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Keen attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working for a large US based publicly traded company is helpful
This role would require 4 days in the BGC office and will report in the midshift from 12pm to 9pm.
