Aligned Outsource, Inc. is seeking a qualified Tax Accountant (Philippine CPA + Enrolled Agent) for its client, a U.S. Based Accounting Firm.
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Tax Accountant to join our client's Tax Team. This position involves managing complex U.S. tax engagements, reviewing tax returns, and serving as a primary contact for senior tax managers and partners internally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and nonprofit tax returns
- Lead tax planning initiatives and prepare strategic tax recommendations for clients
- Manage multiple client engagements and ensure timely completion
- Supervise and mentor staff accountants and interns
- Conduct advanced tax research and prepare detailed technical memorandums
- Develop and maintain strong team relationships
- Stay current with U.S. tax law changes and communicate impacts to clients and team
Required Qualifications:
- CPA designation (active license required)
- Minimum 4+ years of experience working with US-based tax returns in an accounting firm environment (experience may include a combination of public accounting firm and private company experience)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Advanced proficiency in tax preparation software and research tools
- Demonstrated expertise in U.S. federal and multi-state tax regulations
- Proven leadership and staff management experience
- Excellent client service and communication skills
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in U.S. Taxation or related field
- California state income tax knowledge highly preferred
- Nonprofit tax return experience highly preferred
- Experience with U.S. tax software (ProConnect Tax, highly preferred)
- Experience with QuickBooks Online accounting software
Work Environment:
- Full time, remote, registered employee status in the Philippines
- Must agree to hold this role exclusively, with no other projects or clients
- Align to the organization's U.S. central time zone working hours (8 am 5 pm CST)
