Job description:
We are seeking a diligent Tax Accounting Staff to manage our tax compliance and reporting. The successful candidate will ensure all statutory requirements are met accurately and on time, minimizing risk and ensuring smooth operations with the BIR and LGUs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Handle end-to-end tax preparation and filing (Monthly, Quarterly, Annual).
- Withholding Taxes: Expanded (EWT), Compensation, and Final Tax.
- Value-Added Tax (VAT): Monthly declarations and quarterly returns, including the Summary List of Sales/Purchases (SLS/SLP).
- Income Tax Returns (ITR): Both quarterly and annual filings for corporations or individuals.
- Monitor and comply with the latest BIR RMCs, TRAIN, and CREATE law updates.
- Maintaining the Books of Accounts (Manual, Loose-leaf, or Computerized) and ensuring all Official Receipts (ORs) and Sales Invoices (SIs) comply with BIR invoicing requirements.
- LGU Compliance: Assisting in the annual renewal of Business Permits, Barangay Clearances, and payment of local business taxes and Real Property Taxes (RPT).
- Audit Support: Preparing schedules and supporting documents for BIR Letter of Authority (LOA) audits or external financial audits.
- Reconciliation: Comparing tax-related general ledger accounts against actual filings to identify and correct discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or a related field (Management Accounting, Finance).
- At least 2-4 years of experience in Philippine taxation/accounting.
- Knowledgeable in eBIRForms, eFPS, and Alphanumeric Tax Codes (ATC).
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- CPA license is an advantage but not required.
