In Southeast Asia, an economic zone with a population nearing 700 million, Japanese companies are increasingly eager to invest. The life sciences and healthcare industries in this region are characterized by a high concentration of clients with regional headquarters in Singapore.

Singapore's strategic location enables us to support clients businesses across the vast APAC region. The life sciences and healthcare industries tend to grow in proportion to the aging population in a given country or region. However, Southeast Asia, with a relatively large young population and slower aging process (with some exceptions), is poised for significant growth as aging advances in the coming years. As a result, we are receiving more requests from clients seeking comprehensive support from strategy formulation to delivery, with a long-term view of the market in the coming years and even decades. This increasing demand has led us to actively recruit for this position.

One distinguishing feature of the Southeast Asian market is its diverse healthcare infrastructure. In countries like Indonesia, where hospitals are often far from residential areas, over-the-counter medicines may be necessary instead of prescribed medications, making last-mile consumer reach especially critical. This requires consulting elements focused on consumer marketing. Additionally, regulations such as pharmaceutical laws vary by country, underscoring the need for localized strategies to navigate this region's unique complexity.

Furthermore, the life sciences industry is marked by high uncertainty in research and development and a continuous demand for innovation. New products are often truly new to the world, necessitating custom strategies and business models rather than standard operations. This unique requirement further drives consulting demand.

Project Case:

• Development of new business models for clients in Asia/ASEAN

• Formulation and implementation of strategies and commercial models (particularly for region-wide deployment)

• Design and project management of medical apps and digital solutions

• Digital marketing strategy development and operational design

As Manager, you will demonstrate leadership in a mixed team of local and JCS members, managing projects while using personal strengths to support project and client development.
