Duties And Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement customized modules and applications within the Odoo system.
- Create and modify features, workflows, reports, and user interfaces within the Odoo system to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Provide insights on the feasibility and potential challenges of implementing specific features.
- Integrate the Odoo system with other software applications, databases, and APIs as needed.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and errors within the Odoo system.
- Perform debugging and testing to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Stay updated with the latest Odoo versions, releases, and updates.
- Plan and execute system upgrades and maintenance tasks to keep the system current.
- Document technical specifications, customizations, and processes related to the Odoo system.
- Create Odoo system user guides and training materials for end-users. Provide technical support and guidance as needed.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure the Odoo system aligns with business processes.
- Conduct testing of developed features and applications to ensure functionality and accuracy.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and enhancements in the Odoo system.
- Ensure data integrity and security.
- Document the development and execution of unit tests to validate the functionality of software.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for software design, coding and testing processes.
- Provide documentation for the end-user and support team.
- Participate in agile development processes.
- Attends to other related concerns and performs other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience of at least five (5) years in software development, including two (2) years working with the Odoo platform.
- Proficiency in Python programming and experience with Odoo customization and development. Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, and XML.
- Knowledge of Odoo modules, workflows, and technical architecture.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
