System Administrator (IT Operations Lead) Job Description
Minimum 3 years of handson experience with Active Directory, scripting, DNS/DHCP, firewalls, Office 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, HyperV, and antivirus platforms.
Strong understanding of system security concepts, including intrusion detection, endpoint protection, and backup/recovery.
Monitor and review daily server and network batch jobs, system logs, and incident resolutions.
Perform preventive maintenance and routine housekeeping to ensure optimal server and network performance.
Provide ongoing server administration, operational support, and maintenance activities.
Execute ad hoc administrative tasks on firewalls and endpoint protection systems.
Develop automation scripts, runbooks, and enforce IT standards and protocols across multiple teams.
Continuously identify automation opportunities and process improvements to enhance IT operations.
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Willing to work outside regular office hours when required.
Participate in an oncall rotation schedule.
Oversee setup and lifecycle management of user accounts, workstations, and access control.
Monitor performance, troubleshoot system issues, and respond promptly to outages or incidents.
Disaster recovery planning and testing and replication and failover technologies.
Preferred Certifications
ITIL Certification (preferred)
Microsoft Certified Professional are highly desirable. ( MCSA, Microsoft 365 Certified and Azure Administrator Associate
