Your Role:

As an IT Systems Administrator, you will:

• Provide server administration and operational maintenance, including monitoring, performance tuning, and preventive housekeeping.
• Manage firewalls, antivirus endpoints, backup servers, and other critical infrastructure components.
• Review server and network batch jobs, problem logs, and resolutions daily.
• Implement operating system and application-specific security hardening, patches, and updates.
• Execute capacity planning and disaster recovery planning, including replication, failover, and backup validation.
• Support IT service management processes, including configuration, incident, and problem management.
• Develop automation scripts, runbooks, and enforce IT protocols across teams and systems.
• Oversee setup, lifecycle management, and access control for user accounts and workstations.
• Respond to and resolve help desk requests in a timely manner.
• Participate in staff training to raise general IT literacy among users.
• Recommend security patches and updates for servers and network appliances.
• Participate in on-call rotation and be willing to work outside regular office hours when necessary.

What You Need:

Non-negotiables

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Active Directory, scripting, DNS/DHCP, Firewalls, Office 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Planners, Hyper-V, Antivirus, Microsoft SQL, and Microsoft 365 Admin Portal
• Strong understanding of system security concepts, including intrusion detection, endpoint protection, and backup/recovery
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and flexible work hours as needed

Preferred skills/expertise

• Experience working with cloud infrastructure such as Azure or AWS
• ITIL certification
• Microsoft Certified Professional credentials (MCSA, Microsoft 365 Certified, Azure Administrator Associate)
• Ability to develop and maintain automation scripts for repetitive tasks
• Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
