Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Supply Chain Manager to oversee end-to-end supply chain operations and lead a small team.

In this role, you will ensure the smooth flow of products from forecasting through to delivery, while maintaining operational efficiency and supporting business growth. You will also play a key role in managing risks, improving processes, and ensuring a high level of service across the supply chain.

Job Highlights

  • Paid Hours per Week: 40
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10am6pm with 30 minutes paid break | New Zealand Time
  • Work Arrangement: Work from home
  • Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an Independent Contractor arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Supply Chain Management

  • Oversee daily supply chain operations, including inventory planning and sales support
  • Monitor forecast vs. actual demand and ensure alignment
  • Resolve day-to-day supply chain issues to maintain continuity
  • Prepare and present weekly operational reports to the Head of Operations
  • Identify risks and provide data-driven solutions
  • Ensure margin targets are met across the supply chain
  • Manage and evaluate 3PL warehouse performance, ensuring DIFOT (Delivered In Full, On Time) targets are achieved
  • Monitor distributor stock levels (including USA partners) and ensure alignment with internal inventory

Team Leadership

  • Manage and support two team members (Supply Chain Coordinator and Sales Support)
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • 2+ years of proven experience in supply chain management or a similar leadership role
  • Strong Excel skills (including advanced formulas and data analysis)
  • Experience working with distributors, preferably in the USA (e.g., UNFI, KeHE)
  • Familiarity with Amazon FBA operations
  • Experience managing and developing team members
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work within NZST hours for team alignment

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with 3PL warehouses
  • Background in fast-moving or high-growth environments
