POSITION SUMMARY
The Material Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and production coordination, kitting, and material control operations to ensure efficient workflow, inventory accuracy, on-time material availability, and compliance with company policies and procedures. This role provides leadership and direction material center personnel, drives operational excellence, and serves as a key link between management and employees. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with strong experience in material control, and people supervision, capable of developing teams while supporting productivity, profitability, and sustainable business growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and oversee day-to-day warehouse and production coordination, kitting, and material control operations to ensure efficient and accurate material flow.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize work assignments to meet operational requirements and business objectives.
- Monitor employee productivity, attendance, and performance, providing regular coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
- Establish performance goals and deadlines aligned with company objectives and communicate expectations clearly to team members.
- Ensure proper inventory management, material handling, storage, issuance, and stock accuracy.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments to ensure timely availability and delivery of materials to support production requirements.
- Investigate operational issues, employee concerns, and customer-related complaints, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate personnel records, timekeeping reports, and operational documentation.
- Prepare and submit performance, inventory, and operational reports to management.
- Facilitate effective communication between management and employees by relaying information, updates, and organizational initiatives.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of material center personnel.
- Recommend employee recognition, promotions, and performance improvement actions based on performance evaluations.
- Enforce company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency, inventory control, workplace safety, and overall operational performance.
- Lead problem-solving activities and support initiatives that improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or any related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in Warehouse Operations, Material Control, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain functions.
- Proven supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong background in Kitting, Material Control, and Warehouse Operations (required).
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive operational performance.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control processes, and supply chain best practices is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and people management skills.
