Job Description
Are you a licensed Electrical Engineer with strong experience in substation design and construction Join our growing engineering team and play a key role in delivering high-quality power infrastructure projects across the Philippines.
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Substation Engineer who will support the planning, design, and execution of substation engineering and construction projects. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in high-voltage systems and a strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and review electrical designs, single-line diagrams, schematics, and protection/control schemes
Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM), equipment specifications, and project documentation
Coordinate with civil, structural, and mechanical teams to ensure constructability and design integrity
Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of transformers, switchgear, protection relays, CTs/VTs, and SCADA systems
Ensure compliance with Philippine Electrical Code, NGCP, DOE/ERC standards, and other regulatory requirements
Liaise with Distribution Utilities (DU), NGCP, and other stakeholders for permits and grid connection approvals
Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction
Prepare as-built drawings, technical reports, and progress documentation
Assist in project budgeting, risk assessment, and project monitoring
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Licensed Registered Electrical Engineer (Professional Electrical Engineer is an advantage)
At least 35 years of relevant experience in substation design and construction
Proficient in AutoCAD or similar electrical design software
Strong knowledge of HV and MV systems, grounding, protection systems, and switchgear
Familiar with NGCP, Meralco, or other DU grid interconnection processes
Experience in SCADA, relay protection, and transformer installation is a plus
Background in solar PV or renewable energy substations is an advantage
Willing to travel to project sites as needed
