Structural Engineer

The Role:

We're seeking an experienced Structural Engineer. This role is designed for someone with strong structural engineering fundamentals and hands-on design experience who is comfortable contributing directly to engineering design, calculations, and construction documents.

You'll play a key role in supporting residential and small commercial projects, designing structural systems in wood, concrete, and steel with a strong emphasis on wood-frame construction, and coordinating closely with architects, builders, and project partners.

Location: Must be in The Philippines – Remote.

Environment: Philippines and International Teams.

Language: Advanced English (B2+ - C1).

Timezone: Monday to Friday – 4pm-1am PST.

Contract: Full Time

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.

Experience: 5+ years of relevant structural engineering experience; hands-on structural design experience; experience designing wood-frame structural systems; U.S. residential structural engineering experience and small commercial project experience preferred.

Skills: Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit; experience working with at least one additional structural material such as concrete or steel; experience preparing or contributing to construction drawing sets; familiarity with U.S. building codes and structural standards, or the ability to ramp up on them; experience with retrofit, repair, or modification of existing structures a plus.

Characteristics: Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy; strong written and verbal communication skills; able to manage priorities independently and take ownership of assigned projects.

Responsibilities:

Perform structural analysis and design for residential and small commercial projects, designing structural systems involving wood, concrete, and steel with a strong emphasis on wood-frame construction.

Prepare structural calculations, design documentation, and technical deliverables, and develop, review, and revise structural drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.

Review architectural and construction documents, coordinate structural requirements, and evaluate existing structures to develop repair, retrofit, or modification solutions.

Coordinate with architects, builders, designers, and internal team members throughout the project lifecycle, reviewing drawings for design accuracy, constructability, and consistency with engineering intent.

Apply applicable structural design standards and building codes, respond to technical questions during design and construction, and support junior engineering or drafting staff as the team grows.
