Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to lead our engineering team for remotely supporting our company's on-going civil and infrastructure projects in various Southeast Asia countries (potentially including Philippines). The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting across major infrastructure projects. This role requires strong technical capability, coordination within the organization and the ability to independently manage multiple project workstreams. We highly value candidates who can expend its scope to the countries outside of Philippines (e.g., Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Canada).

Roles & Responsibilities

1) Structural Analysis & Design Engineering

• Perform structural analysis and design for roads, bridges, and major civil structures
• Ensure all designs and engineering activities comply with the international standards (AASHTO, ACI, ASTM, etc.) - in case of the project in Philippines, National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP), DPWH Design Guidelines
• Conduct structural stability re-calculations and reviews to address design changes or site-specific conditions.

2) Technical Review & Quantity Surveying Support

• Review Shop Drawings and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) based on original working drawings to ensure constructability
• Review detailed structural drawings, design calculations, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for tender purposes
• Liaise with tender specialists and quantity surveyors to ensure accurate and timely technical inputs.

3) Site Management & Technical Coordination

• Conduct site visits for technical assessments and manage design changes occurring during the construction phase
• Prepare documentation and lead technical discussions for design approvals with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities

4) Team Leadership & Document Control

• Manage and mentor the CAD team, overseeing drawing distribution and maintaining revision control
• Ensure all technical documentation is up-to-date and reflects the latest project requirements

Qualification and Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering
• Licensure: Must be a Registered Civil Engineer
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a site-based design or technical team
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro)
• Core Competencies: Strong understanding of construction Method Statements and proven problem-solving skills on-site
• Language: Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English is essential

Working Condition: 8 hours per day / 56 days per week (negotiable)
