We are seeking a skilled Draftsman to join a boutique structural engineering consultancy that specialises in residential projects, including new home builds, extensions, and renovations. In this role, you'll play a key part in turning design concepts and engineering requirements into precise technical drawings that support builders, architects, and engineers in delivering safe, practical, and cost-efficient homes.

What are you expected to do

• Prepare accurate and detailed structural drawings, plans, and documentation for residential projects (new builds and renovations).
• Translate engineering and design requirements into technical drawings using CAD software.
• Review architectural plans and provide input to ensure structural feasibility and compliance.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and builders to resolve design challenges and incorporate feedback.
• Ensure all drawings meet building codes, industry standards, and project specifications.
• Update and revise drawings as required throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain organised records of drawings and revisions for reference and compliance.
  
  

You'll be a great fit if:

• You hold a Diploma or Certificate in Drafting, Civil/Structural Engineering, or a related field, and bring strong technical skills to the table.
• You have at least 5 years of experience as a Structural Draftsman, with exposure to residential and/or structural projects.
• You're proficient in AutoCAD (essential) and ideally have some experience with Revit or similar software.
• You understand both structural and architectural plans, with solid knowledge of Australian building codes and residential construction standards.
• You are detail-oriented and accurate, you take pride in producing high-quality documentation.
• You're a clear communicator and a strong team player who thrives in a collaborative, close-knit environment.

Please note: This role is remote; however, we require candidates to be based locally in the Philippines. This is to support occasional onsite activities such as team events, client meetings, or equipment handover. Additionally, local residency is necessary for compliance with Philippines labor laws and employment regulations.

• You'll go through 34 interviews plus a possible assessment with our client partner. This includes an initial chat, a culture-fit interview, and 12 conversations with our awesome client. The whole process usually takes 12 weeks, but we'll let you know if things need to move quicker.
