Job Summary
The candidate will be responsible for providing advanced structural analysis, preparing construction-ready designs, coordinating with site teams, and ensuring that all structural elements are safe, buildable, and compliant with project specifications and codes.
This role requires strong collaboration with project managers, architects, site engineers, and
construction teams to ensure effective translation of design into execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review structural designs, calculations, and engineering drawings for concrete, steel, and composite structures used in building and infrastructure projects.
- Lead structural modeling and analysis using tools such as ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, SAFE, AutoCAD, and Revit Structure
- Evaluate and incorporate geotechnical data for foundation and substructure design.
- Ensure adherence to local building codes and standards (e.g., NSCP, ACI, AISC) and company quality procedures.
- Provide direct technical assistance to project sites, ensuring that structural designs are properly implemented.
- Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions from subcontractors.
- Issue timely responses to RFIs, site instructions, and technical queries
- Conduct structural site inspections to validate compliance and quality workmanship.
- Work closely with the Construction, Planning, QA/QC, and Procurement teams to ensure
feasible and cost-effective structural solutions.
- Collaborate with architects and MEP engineers to address structural interfaces and resolve design clashes.
- Participate in coordination meetings, client presentations, and design workshops.
- Prepare structural reports, design documents, as-built documentation, and calculations for submission.
- Ensure all engineering outputs align with regulatory requirements and project specifications.
- Support documentation for permits, approvals, and compliance certifications.
- Lead design tasks and provide mentorship to junior engineers and CAD/BIM staff.
- Assist Project Managers in preparing cost estimates, material take-offs, and technical proposals.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
Licenses: Must be a licensed Civil Engineer (PRC or equivalent).
Additional certifications (e.g., ASEAN Engineer, PE/SE) are an advantage.
Experience: With at least 10 years of solid experience in designing and supporting structural works within a construction environment. Exposure to design-build, EPC, or contractor-side engineering environments.
