The Strategic Execution Analyst is responsible for providing forward-looking visibility, risk assessment, and cost optimization strategies for all imported materials.

This role acts as a bridge between Procurement and Contract Execution teams by analyzing import pipelines, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring proactive planning of logistics and operational activities. The position focuses on minimizing cost leakages (e.g., demurrage, detention, storage), improving supply visibility, and strengthening cross-functional coordination to support uninterrupted operations and optimized landed costs.

Your Responsibilities

Import Visibility and Monitoring

  • Review and validate the import monitoring file in close coordination with Foreign Contract Execution Officer and Staff
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of shipment data including ETA, volume, and execution status
  • Identify gaps, delays, and inconsistencies in shipment plans and escalate accordingly

Forward Planning and Stakeholder Management

  • Provide 34 months forward visibility of incoming shipments to internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead weekly updates highlighting key changes, risks, and shipment deviations
  • Align updates with Foreign Execution team prior to escalation to Procurement Director
  • Ensure stakeholders are informed of supply outlook to support planning and decision-making

Pre-Operational Planning and Coordination

  • Facilitate and lead pre-operational meetings for:
    • Containerized shipments per location
    • Bulk vessel arrivals
  • Ensure readiness of unloading, bagging, and receiving operations through advance collaboration with internal teams (e.g. Supply Chain, Logistic) and service providers (e.g. cargo handlers)
Documentation and Governance

  • Document agreements, action plans, and identified risks during pre-operational meetings
  • Track action items and ensure accountability across stakeholders
  • Maintain structured records for reference, audit, and continuous improvement

Cost Optimization and Analysis

  • Conduct analysis on potential and actual incidental costs including:
    • Demurrage
    • Detention
    • Port storage
  • Evaluate shipment arrivals versus:
    • Bagging capacity
    • Unloading capacity
    • Receiving capacity of plants
  • Recommend actions to minimize cost exposure and improve efficiency
Risk Monitoring and Escalation

  • Identify and quantify risk exposures related to:
    • Shipment delays
    • Capacity constraints
    • Cost leakages
  • Develop mitigation plans in collaboration with execution and supply chain teams
  • Escalate critical risks and recommendations to Procurement Director in a timely manner
Landed Cost Optimization

  • Review landed cost components and validate assumptions
  • Work with Procurement Director to optimize logistics flow and cost structure
  • Provide insights for procurement strategy adjustments based on logistics realities

Outturn Review and Claims Support

  • Review outturn reports and validate performance versus contractual agreements
  • Endorse findings for Procurement Director approval
  • Support execution of claims against service providers for non-performance

Business Continuity and Operational Support: (Activated in absence of execution team)

  • Support application of Import Permits (IP)
  • Update import monitoring file
  • Review Requests for Payment (RFPs) and Cash Advances (CAs) prior to endorsement

Your Profile

  • Minimum 5 years experience in logistics, or supply chain operations
  • Experience in importation, freight, or contract execution preferred
