As we continue to expand, we are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Frame Detailers to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis in our BGC Office. The successful candidate's expertise will be instrumental in ensuring our services continue to exceed market demands and expectations.
We're seeking an experienced, confident Frame Detailer who's ready to lead and drive successful project outcomes.
Familiarity with FrameCad or Revit is an advantage, though not essential. Your drafting experience and understanding of construction processes will be key in turning conceptual designs into practical, buildable structures.
You will receive training with the brand new market's first detailing automation software.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or certificate in Engineering Detailing or equivalent (preferred however not essential).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Framing Detailer or similar role.
- Experience with CAD software use (FrameCad or Revit an advantage, however not essential).
- Strong understanding of structural systems, construction techniques, and materials.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes and industry standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Experienced in supporting and mentoring teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- You'll be responsible for creating precise, buildready steel frame drawings and construction documents from architectural and engineering designs. Alongside this, you'll guide a small team of detailers, mentoring trainees, overseeing quality, and contributing to a highperforming, consistent workflow.
- Review various drawings, calculations, and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Prepare detailed 3D drawings and models for structures using CAD drafting software
- Ensure that all drawings comply with building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Coordinate with engineers, fabricators, and project managers to clarify design intent and resolve any issues.
- Incorporate design changes and updates into existing drawings as required.
- Generate material lists (BOM) and schedules for procurement and fabrication purposes with the assistance of our innovative software.
- Generate fabrication and assembly drawings and buy-in components and connections.
- Coordinate and lead detailing team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in drawings.
- Conduct quality checks on drawings to identify and resolve errors or inconsistencies.
- Maintain organized documentation, communication and files of all drawings and revisions in the company ERP system.
- Stay updated with industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in structural detailing.
- Additionally, you will be required to undertake training in the use of our internal innovative detailing software.
