Role (Overview of the Position)
As the Staff Tax Accountant, you are responsible for preparing tax returns for our e-commerce businesses and their owners. You are responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of the tax returns.
Responsibilities (Tasks Associated with the Role)
- Prepare complex individual and business returns.
- Ensure tax returns are completed timely.
- Ensure the tax process is documented and current.
- Respond to any IRS or State inquiries or letters.
- Assist with tax planning and research.
- Assist with quarterly estimated tax projections.
- Communicate with clients to request information, clarify questions, and address basic inquiries.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients through prompt and professional interactions.
- Support the Tax Manager.
Results (Expected Accomplishments)
- Tax returns delivered on time and accurately.
- No surprises for our clients come tax time.
Requirements (Expected Proficiencies)
- 1-3 years of Tax preparation experience
- Extremely confident with technology.
