Overview
The Digital IC Design Engineer is responsible for defining specifications and developing high-quality digital circuits. This role ensures design integrity through rigorous verification processes and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and document digital design specifications based on product requirements.
- Develop robust, high-performance digital circuits using industry-standard methodologies.
- Perform comprehensive design checks, including LINT, Clock Domain Crossing (CDC), and Design-for-Test (DFT), to ensure compliance and reliability.
- Collaborate with digital verification and implementation engineers to achieve functional correctness and physical design integrity.
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines to align features, testing requirements, and overall product objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement of design flows and best practices.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers in digital design and implementation.
Key Qualifications
- Strong foundation in digital design principles and methodologies.
- Knowledge in Design-for-Test (DFT) techniques.
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL.
- Skilled in at least one scripting language (e.g., Perl, Python, Shell).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (Master's in Microelectronics is a plus).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in VLSI circuit design.
- Proven track record in leading and mentoring teams.
Additional Requirements
- Knowledge of power management devices is an advantage.
- Familiarity with embedded systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with FPGA is a plus
- Experience with digital design implementation and corresponding EDA tools is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of digital design verification methodologies is an advantage.
