The Role

The Staff Accountant supports the delivery of accurate, timely financial records and reports for Top2Bottom clients. This role is responsible for core bookkeeping and accounting functions across the full accounting cycle and plays a key role in assimilating new clients, ensuring clean data, compliant records, and a smooth handoff to Account Managers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, client-focused, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, growing firm.

Location: Must be in Philippines Remote

Environment: Philippine candidates are allowed to apply

Language: Excellent communication skills

Timezone: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM EST (10:00 PM 7:00 AM Philippine Standard Time)

Contract: Full-time Contract

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience: 57 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Skills:
  • 3+ years of hands-on QuickBooks experience (Online and/or Desktop)
  • Strong working knowledge of financial statements and the accounting cycle.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace
  • Experience with payroll processing, multiple entity types, and tax support.
  • Prior experience in a client-facing accounting or bookkeeping firm.
  • Characteristics:
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Comfortable explaining financial information to non-accountants.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with a team.
  • Accurate, timely financials with minimal rework.
  • Organized, well-documented client records.
  • Responsive, professional client communication.
  • Strong collaboration with Account Managers and internal team members.
  • Consistent follow-through, reliability, and ownership of work.
