Role purpose
The role is responsible for acquiring, developing, and expanding banking-software business for Finacle across the assigned SEANA market, focusing on banks and financial institutions evaluating modernization across core banking, digital banking, lending, payments, cloud/SaaS modernization, APIs, and ecosystem-led banking transformation. Finacle powers mission-critical banking operations for financial institutions across more than 100 countries, supporting over a billion end customers and 1.7 billion accounts worldwide. This role is focused on driving strategic banking transformation programs and selling enterprise-scale banking platforms, engaging with senior banking executives on business-critical modernization initiatives
Responsibilities
- Build and progress qualified pipeline across banks, digital banks, fintech-led banking businesses, and financial institutions for Finacle-led banking transformation opportunities.
- Sell enterprise banking platforms and transformation propositions across core banking, digital banking, lending, payments, open/API banking, cloud/SaaS modernization, and composable banking.
- Map accounts and stakeholders across business, technology, operations, transformation, digital, payments, and procurement teams.
- Partner with pre-sales, product, consulting, implementation, alliances, and leadership teams to shape account strategy, demos, proposals, RFP responses, pricing inputs, and negotiation plans.
- Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene: account plans, opportunity stage, next actions, customer map, competitor intelligence, partner influence, and forecast assumptions.
- Build local market intelligence on banking-platform modernization, regulatory modernization themes, digital-bank launches, payments modernization, and competitor movements.
- Support partner-led motions with SIs, cloud partners, consulting partners, and ecosystem partners where they influence banking transformation decisions.
- Travel within the assigned country and SEANA as required for customer meetings, workshops, industry events, partner alignment, and executive engagement.
Must-have qualifications
- Enterprise sales / business development experience in banking software, financial technology platforms, core banking, digital banking, lending, payments, transaction banking, or banking transformation software.
- Demonstrated ability to sell to banks or regulated financial institutions, preferably involving multi-stakeholder deals and long-cycle enterprise pursuits.
- Strong understanding of banking transformation themes: core modernization, digital onboarding, account/deposit/lending journeys, payments modernization, API/open banking, cloud migration, data/AI-led banking, and composable architecture.
- Ability to engage senior banking stakeholders and translate product capability into business value, operating-model impact, risk reduction, speed-to-market, and customer-experience outcomes.
- Strong written and spoken English; local country language capability is a strong advantage for customer access.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings, partner meetings, industry forums, and pipeline-building activities.
- Quick joiners preferred — prioritize candidates who are immediately available, on short notice, actively exiting, or coming from completed/ending assignments.
Preferred experience
- Prior sales / BD experience with banking-platform vendors such as Temenos, Finastra, Oracle FLEXCUBE, Mambu, Backbase, Silverlake Axis, FIS, Fiserv, Thought Machine, Intellect Design Arena, Nucleus Software, ACI Worldwide, or BPC SmartVista.
- Experience selling at least one of: core banking, digital banking platform, lending platform, payments hub/switch, card issuing/acquiring, transaction banking, or banking cloud/SaaS.
- Experience with RFP-led bank deals, large account mapping, partner-led pursuits, SI/cloud alliances, and regional banking relationships.
- Existing network across banks, digital banks, financial institutions, payments companies, fintechs, or bank technology transformation leaders in the target country.
