We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Full-Stack Developer to fully own and evolve ReportSource, our flagship client-and-broker reporting and data manipulation platform. This is a high impact, high-autonomy role that combines daily production support, enhancement delivery, performance
tuning, and long-term modernization planning. You will be the primary technical owner of the platform and the go-to expert for everything Azure + React + .NET + SQL in our environment.

This is not a code-monkey role - we need someone senior enough to architect solutions, mentor junior resources when we add them, manage deployments with zero downtime, and partner directly with the Executive Vice President of Technology on roadmap and security decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the full SDLC of the CBC proprietary reporting and data manipulation platform ReportSource - new features, bug fixes, performance work, technical debt payback
  • Respond to and resolve production incidents (currently 2 per month)
  • Continually improve query and API performance (we have some very large result sets and Excel exports)
  • Maintain and evolve CI/CD pipelines, slot-based deployments, and zero downtime releases
  • Implement and enforce security standards (OWASP, least privilege, secrets management)
  • Plan and execute migrations (e.g., larger Azure SQL tier, multi-region, newer .NET LTS versions)
  • Document architecture decisions and runbooks
  • Collaborate on roadmap with leadership and occasionally demo new capabilities to internal stakeholders
What You Need:

Must-Have Skills & Experience
  • 7+ years full-stack development with heavy Microsoft ecosystem focus
  • Expert-level React (hooks, Context/API routes, TypeScript, modern build tools - CRA or Vite)
  • Expert-level ASP.NET Core Web API (C# 12+, minimal APIs preferred, Entity Framework Core, clean
  • architecture)
  • Expert-level Microsoft SQL Server / Azure SQL (query tuning, indexing strategy, partitioning, RLS, Always Encrypted, writing complex stored procedures and views)
  • Deep Azure PaaS expertise in at least six of the following:
    • App Services & App Service Environments
    • Azure SQL (DTU/elastic pools/hyperscale, geo-replication, failover groups)
    • Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) app registrations, conditional access, managed identities
    • Azure Front Door / Application Gateway / WAF
    • Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Kusto queries
    • Azure Key Vault & Managed HSM
    • Azure DevOps Pipelines (YAML) OR GitHub Actions - we are open to either, but you must own CI/CD completely
    • Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep or ARM Terraform is a bonus)
    • Azure Policy & Blueprints governance
    • Full-lifecycle GitHub proficiency (branching strategy, PR reviews, code owners, GitHub Actions, Advanced Security/CodeQL)
    • Production support mindset - on-call rotation (currently very light), root-cause analysis, hotfixes with slots or blue-green deployments
Strong Pluses (will set you apart)
  • Power BI Embedded or Paginated Reports integration experience
  • Experience securing HIPAA-regulated workloads in Azure
  • OpenAPI/Swagger + NSwag or AutoRest code generation
  • Playwright or Cypress automated UI testing
  • MediatR, Clean Architecture, Vertical Slice architecture
  • Azure Functions / Logic Apps for background processing
  • Experience owning a platform that serves external brokers and clients (multi tenant considerations)
  • Ability to speak Chinese is preferred, but not required, as we have a small team in China
