Job Description

The Sr. Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's financial health and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. He/She will manage accounting, inventory, and tax functions, and provide financial reports and insights that will support decision-making at the executive level. The ideal candidate is accustomed to working within local and medium-scale enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with corporate goals.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.

Accounting Oversight

  • Lead the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.

Inventory Control

  • Monitor and optimize inventory valuation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate stock levels and cost management.

Tax Compliance

  • Ensure timely filing of tax returns and adherence to tax regulations.
  • Manage tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize cash flow.

Internal Controls & Risk Management

  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Team Leadership

  • Mentor and develop finance team members to enhance performance and capability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferably with CPA and/or CMA
  • Minimum 810 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in local and medium-scale enterprises with a proven ability to adapt to traditional corporate environments.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to influence and drive change while respecting established practices.
