Overall Job Purpose
Responsible for determining the total cost of a construction project.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelors or College Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Structural or Interior Design.
- At least 2 years of work experience as an Estimator. Knowledge in Stone Works is an advantage.
- Proficient in numbers, quantification, accuracy, and completeness of work.
- Computer literate and knowledgeable in operating CAD software.
- Organized, Systematic and has keen eye to details.
- With good verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferably with minimum on-site construction exposure.
- Willing to work in longer hours.
GENERAL DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
- Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
- Prepare request for inspection and follow up the same with client and subcontractor.
