The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.
Responsibilities
- Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close
- Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes
- Research and analyze expense variances for company management
Qualifications
- 6+ years of Accounting Experience.
- 2+ years of US Accounting Experience.
- Expertise in U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and financial analysis
- Proficiency in accounting tools and software like QuickBooks and Excel
- Strong attention to detail with skills in account reconciliation, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Experience in tax preparation, payroll management, and compliance with U.S. regulations
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client collaboration
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and work independently in a remote setup
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA designation and experience in the trades or construction industries are a plus
