Role: Sr. Accountant

Work Arrangement: Work from Home

Location: Any CS Branch - Ortigas / Makati / Pampanga / Cebu / Davao / Mabalacat / Angeles (Pampanga)

Schedule: Morning Shift

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the timely and accurate completion of the responsibilities detailed below. The Senior Accountant will assist with both Head Office and Asset level bookkeeping and financial management and will work closely with the Finance Manager and Asset level staff.

Responsibilities

Weekly

  • Preparation of bank reconciliations (35 transactions)

Bi-Weekly

  • Coordination of the fortnightly casual and part-time payroll (20 employees, timesheet basis)
  • Coordination of the fortnightly accounts payable process (1015 transactions)
  • Review of the staff expense reimbursements payable and co-ordination of payment and inclusion in the accounts payable (1 entity, 1015 transactions)

Monthly

  • Preparation of the recharge invoices from Head Office to the relevant Assets, including salaries and wages recharges and expense reimbursement recharges (8 invoices per month)
  • Preparation of the monthly payroll tax lodgements for NSW, VIC, WA, SA, and QLD

Quarterly

  • Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of the quarterly management accounts
  • Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of the quarterly board report
  • Co-ordination of the quarterly superannuation lodgement through Employment Hero

Annually

  • Preparation of the annual payroll tax reconciliations for NSW, VIC, WA, SA, and QLD
  • Assist with the preparation of information for the annual financial statement audit
  • Assist with the preparation of information for the annual income tax return
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual business plan and budget

On-going

  • Maintenance of the COR Partners and Asset-level Xero files
  • Assisting the Finance Manager with the maintenance and management of the Employment Hero platform, including on-boarding, maintaining staff data, and implementing relevant legislative changes
  • Co-ordination of the vendor verification for all suppliers
  • Documentation of key processes related to the finance function
  • Assisting the Finance Manager with refining and improving financial processes and implementing these changes across the business

Qualification And Requirements

  • 4-5 years of Experience with Accounting
  • Competent in excel with demonstrated experience operating excel spreadsheets
  • CA/CPA qualified (or local equivalent) and/or Australian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (AGAAP) experience would be well received,
  • Real Estate/Rental Industry similar industry experience would be great.

Payroll Experience Great To Have

  • GST experience required, BAS and IAS understanding would be great.
  • Experience with any of the following software applications:
  • Xero - Required

Non-negotiable Skills & Requirements

  • CPA Preferred Only
  • GST experience required
