TheSr. Accountant, Global Rewards will play a key role in supporting the global rewards program. This position partners closely with finance teams and multiple departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of rewards-related transactions. The role involves managing vendor accounts by working directly with vendors to maintain inventory, reconciling statements, and handling foreign currency transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Vendor & Account Management:
- Place orders with vendors and manage invoices, deliveries, and inventory.
- Maintain vendor transaction reports and resolve account issues in collaboration with internal teams.
Financial Processing & Reporting:
- Prepare and review weekly and monthly reports and reconciliations.
- Analyze account activity and ensure accuracy of transactions.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close activities.
Rewards Program Support:
- Work with client services and member services teams to process order requests.
- Ensure compliance with global rewards program policies and procedures.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Support system enhancements and integration initiatives.
Requirements
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles, including accounts payable and journal entry preparation.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Rewards program coordination within a shared services or multinational environment.
- Experience working with multiple software applications and ERP systems preferred.
