Job Requirement:
- Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
- Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
- Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
- Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Validated experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Proven ability to diagnose problems and triage/resolve issues across various tiers (application, network, database, server or storage tiers)
- Working knowledge to implement automation to reduce manual administrative tasks through use of jobs
- In-depth understanding of setting up, tuning and monitoring Mirroring, Replication, Log Shipping
- Prior experience Test back-ups to ensure we can meet the business, Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) along with fixing SQL Server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends
- Proficient to configure SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms, Install and configure new SQL Servers
- Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Proficient in working with high availability environment along with alignment to process (ITIL).
- Proven My SQL DB architecture designing skills as well as database support in performance tuning and database troubleshooting. Experience with MySQL replication
