The Space Planning Supervisor is responsible for designing, reviewing, and optimizing merchandise layouts across assigned store formats to align with company strategy, customer needs, and profitability goals. This role ensures that store space is utilized effectively to maximize productivity and enhance the shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and revise merchandise layouts based on customer insights, profitability targets, and company strategy
- Review and evaluate requests from the Trading team regarding brand entry, pull-out, or transfer within assigned store formats
- Assess re-layout proposals from internal stakeholders and provide data-driven recommendations
- Identify and allocate space for categories and brands according to target market profiles and productivity metrics
- Ensure timely release of merchandise layouts and shopping lists for new store openings and refit projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain consistency and efficiency in space planning execution
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/College Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable layouts
- Experience in retail space planning, merchandising, or store operations is an advantage
- Proficiency in layout design tools, MS Office applications, and data analysis software
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
