Job Description:
Solar Manager will oversee the planning, design, and construction of solar energy projects from inception to completion. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strong project management abilities to ensure the successful delivery of solar projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the planning, design, and construction of solar energy projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and technical teams to create detailed plans for solar installations.
- Ensure that solar energy systems are designed in compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Oversee the bidding process for subcontractors and manage contracts with third-party service providers.
- Manage the permitting process, working with local authorities to secure necessary approvals and inspections.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Construction Management, or a related field. Advanced certifications is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in solar project management, planning, or construction, with a proven track record in managing large-scale solar installations.
- Strong knowledge of solar technology, PV systems, and electrical systems design and installation.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Familiarity with local regulations, building codes, and permitting processes related to solar energy installations.
