About the Role
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our engineering team and drive quality across the software development lifecycle. This role requires a strong blend of software development and test engineering skills, with a focus on building scalable automation frameworks, ensuring system reliability, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Develop complex test components, utilities, interfaces, and drivers for validating software platforms, hardware devices, and data exchange mechanisms.
- Perform hands-on testing, debugging, and root cause analysis to ensure high-quality, defect-free software.
- Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to identify, track, and resolve software issues early in the development cycle.
- Provide technical guidance and best-practice recommendations to developers on testability, automation, and quality-driven development.
- Monitor and review development and testing activities to ensure alignment with quality standards, timelines, and project goals.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests for continuous validation and fast feedback.
- Stay updated with emerging tools, technologies, and industry trends in test automation and software quality engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience in software development and test automation.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience testing APIs, backend services, and complex systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with performance, load, and scalability testing.
- Exposure to hardware-software integration or embedded systems testing.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and DevOps tools.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading quality initiatives.
