Software Engineer in Test

You will support automation, AI implementation, performance testing and other tasks as assigned in the Business Services Query and ESP QA team. Accuracy of our product deliverables is of utmost importance, and this role is key to our ability to quickly and accurately verify code prior to release.

Required Skills:

• Powershell scripting in Windows environments
• Bash/Shell scripting for Workflows
• GitHub Actions - workflows
• Groovy- Used to program script in ReadyAPI

Nice-to-have Skills:

- Python

- JavaScript

- Selenium WebDriver

- Docker – Containerization for test environments

- LoadRunner

Key Accountabilities

• Create/update automated test scripts.
• Execute test scripts and analyze and record results (manual and automated testing).
• Ensure that adequate test coverage is provided.
• Identify defects / anomalies and investigate their cause. Document and track these defects.
• Contribute to improving the QA process and quality standards.
• To work with Developers, Product Owners, Product Analysts and other test team members to complete testing tasks.
• To ensure high quality and accuracy is maintained through software release.
• To provide feedback to the development team and ensure the work is done according to the schedule and quality requirements.
• Determine testing tools and software that can be implemented to aid QA and maximize testing coverage.
• Diagnoses system problems using dumps, traces, or other diagnostic tools
• Flexible to other duties assigned

Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in engineering/computer science/analytics or related field; or equivalent experience required.

· Basic knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

· Basic knowledge of applicable development languages including but not limited to: Python, Java, Javascript, SQL. Familiar with HPCC ECL is a PLUS.

· Experience in data visualization tools such as Microsoft PowerBI and Tableau.

· Basic knowledge of data manipulation languages.

· Ability and desire to learn new processes, tools, and technologies.

· Good research skills.

· Ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with cross functional teams to escalate major issues as needed.
