Software Engineer

Software Engineer (Full Stack, Frontend-Leaning, Remote)

We're looking for a junior to mid-level software engineer to join our product team. This is a true full-stack role — everyone works across the stack — with a stronger emphasis on frontend development, accessibility, and quality.

Our application uses a PHP (Laravel) API backend and a hybrid Angular frontend (AngularJS + modern Angular). While this is our current stack, we care more about solid fundamentals and comparable experience than exact language or framework matches.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain features across the full stack, from APIs to UI

• Develop accessible, reusable frontend components

• Work in a hybrid AngularJS / Angular codebase and help improve it over time

• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers on user-facing features

• Write tests and contribute to automated testing efforts, including E2E tests

• Participate in code reviews and learn from more experienced engineers

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience (or equivalent)

• Experience working on full-stack web applications

• Strong interest or experience in frontend development using modern JS/TS frameworks (Angular, React, Vue, etc.)

• Some backend experience in any mature framework (Laravel, Node.js, Django, Rails, etc.)

• Familiarity with building accessible user interfaces (semantic HTML, basic WCAG concepts)

• Exposure to or interest in E2E testing with Cypress and/or Playwright

Nice to Have

• Angular or AngularJS experience

• PHP with Laravel experience

• Experience refactoring or improving existing frontend code

• Familiarity with CI/CD or automated testing tools
