Software Engineer - Celonis

We are looking for a highly skilled Software Engineer Celonis / Process Mining Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team and help drive enterprise-wide process excellence through advanced process mining solutions.

This role serves as the technical and functional authority for the Celonis platform, supporting both day-to-day operations and the continuous evolution of Celonis capabilities across the enterprise. You will work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure Celonis solutions are stable, scalable, and delivering measurable business value.

Role Summary

As the Celonis SME, you will be responsible for hands-on delivery, production support, and strategic guidance for Celonis Process Mining and EMS solutions. You will play a key role in onboarding new use cases, enhancing analytics, supporting integrations, and enabling business teams to turn insights into action.

Key Responsibilities

Celonis Platform Operations & Support

• Act as the primary SME for the Celonis platform, including process mining, data models, and execution apps
• Provide L2/L3 support for incidents, service requests, and access issues (dashboards, roles, permissions, connectivity)
• Troubleshoot production issues related to data loads, model performance, and user access
• Coordinate escalations with Celonis vendor support and internal IT teams

Solution Development & Enhancement

• Design, build, and enhance Celonis data models, KPIs, dashboards, and process analytics
• Develop reusable process mining components aligned with enterprise standards
• Support onboarding of new business units, use cases, and source systems
• Validate event logs, process logic, and data integrity to ensure analytical accuracy

Data & Integration Management

• Support and maintain Celonis integrations (SAP, ServiceNow, Workday, and other enterprise systems)
• Partner with data and integration teams on schema changes, refresh cycles, and system updates
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and access control policies

Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement

• Act as a trusted advisor to business and product teams on leveraging Celonis insights
• Support requirements gathering, solution walkthroughs, and value realization discussions
• Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and enablement to analysts and business users

Governance & Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to Celonis platform governance, standards, and operating models
• Support roadmap execution, release planning, and technical decision-making
• Identify opportunities to improve scalability, performance, and solution reuse

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience (Level IV/V) with Celonis Process Mining / EMS
• Proven experience building and supporting Celonis data models, KPIs, and dashboards
• Solid understanding of business process analysis (Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Procurement, Operations)
• Experience supporting enterprise production platforms with incident and change management
• Ability to collaborate across business, IT, and vendor teams in complex environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating Celonis with SAP (ECC/S/4), ServiceNow, Workday, or similar systems
• Familiarity with process mining operating models, CoEs, and governance frameworks
• Background in consulting or managed services supporting enterprise analytics platforms
• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
