About the role

As a Software Engineer 2 at Asurion, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that support the company's strategic goals. In this full-time role, you will work from our office in Taguig City, Metro Manila, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and effective technology solutions.

What you'll be doing

1. Design, develop, and test scalable and efficient software applications using agile methodologies
2. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
3. Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices and industry standards
4. Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and reliability of our software
5. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and industry trends to continuously improve our software solutions
6. Mentor and share knowledge with more junior members of the engineering team

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
2. Minimum 2-4 years of experience as a software engineer in a fast-paced, agile environment
3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
4. Experience with web application development, database design, and RESTful API development
5. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
7. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, and related tools
