We are recruiting an Automation Quality Engineer for our team in Manila, Philippines. Reporting to the local QA Engineer Lead, we are looking for an Automation QA engineer to play key role in the team driving our efforts in quality assurance. The right candidate is highly motivated, self-driven, eager to learn, and passionate about taking ownership of their contribution to the product.

From a technical perspective we would require a minimum of 5 years QA experience through the entire lifecycle of an enterprise application. Use of the following technologies and methodologies would be a distinct advantage:

• Proven work experience in software development
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience in API testing
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (Playwright)
• Hands-on experience in Performance testing (e.g: JMeter)
• Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting (Java Script, Type Script)
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

Nice to have's

• Experience with security testing is a plus
• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

Roles and Responsibilities

The Automation Quality Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining automated tests that ensure software quality and reliability. Follow established QA and automation best practices, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and collaborate closely with development and QA teams to integrate automation into the delivery process. Their work helps improve efficiency, consistency, and overall product quality across all testing activities.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities with our teams to ensure quality and test coverage.
• Collaborate in an agile environment, actively participating in agile ceremonies including, sprint plannings, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, etc
• Review user stories requirements, specifications and technical design documents when required
• Develop test plans and cases to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Create and maintain dependency documentation for system wide regression
• Assist with execution of manual testing whenever is needed
• Development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Continuously improve test automation processes to enhance efficiency.
• Create detailed test reports, documenting test results, defects, and any relevant metrics.
• Communicate test progress and issues to stakeholders.
• Identify potential risks and issues related to quality and work with the team to mitigate them

Job Benefits

This role is a full-time, hybrid position that requires regular office attendance (3x per week). This position is based in our Makati City office.
