ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a creative and strategic Social Media Manager to own the voice, content, and community of Dr. Shiba and Prof. Bengal across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. You'll set the strategy, create platform-native content, build creator relationships, and own the numbers. This role is accountable for hitting growth, engagement, and conversion targets, not just reporting on them.
This is a Manila-based role. We operate remote-first, but you'll need to come into the office regularly, attend shoots, and show up in person for team and partner moments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Content
- Own the monthly content calendar across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, aligned with launches, campaigns, and pet wellness themes.
- Script, film, edit, and produce platform-native content: TikToks, Reels, Stories, educational explainers, trend-jacks, testimonials, and UGC-style videos.
- Write clear creative briefs for design and content teams.
Community & Creators
- Monitor and respond to comments, DMs, and tagged posts in a timely, on-brand way.
- Identify, build, and nurture relationships with creators, influencers, and brand ambassadors.
- Track pet wellness conversations, viral content, and emerging trends.
Campaigns
- Plan and execute social campaigns, including organic launches, paid social, and influencer collaborations.
- Appear on camera or direct shoots involving pets, pet parents, creators, and events.
Performance & Growth (Owning the Numbers)
- Hit monthly targets for follower growth, engagement, reach, watch time, and conversion contribution.
- Continuously test content formats, hooks, and posting strategies to improve performance.
- Deliver regular performance reports with clear insights and recommendations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, performance, design, sales, and customer service teams to keep social aligned with the business.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE
Must-Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of social media management experience, ideally for a consumer brand.
- Track record of hitting growth and engagement targets on social.
- Deep fluency in TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, with a sharp instinct for short-form trends.
- Strong copywriting and storytelling skills.
- Basic video editing for TikTok/Reels (CapCut, Premiere, or similar).
- Basic design skills (Canva, Figma, or similar).
- Comfortable filming, directing shoots involving pets and people, and occasionally appearing on camera.
- Experience working with creators, influencers, or UGC campaigns.
- Based in Metro Manila and willing to attend in-person meetings, shoots, and events.
- Genuine passion for pets and pet parenting culture.
Bonus Points
- Background in pet, wellness, lifestyle, or FMCG brands.
- Experience with social media management tools (Sprout, Later, Buffer, etc.).
- You have pets or are actively part of the pet community.
