Position Overview

We are recruiting a Social Media Manager to join a marketing team serving clients in the hospitality industry. This role will lead social strategy, content planning, and community engagement across owned channels to build brand affinity, drive direct bookings, and enhance guest experience. The successful candidate will work closely with marketing, creative, operations, and revenue teams to deliver measurable social campaigns tailored to hospitality audiences and seasonal business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute social media strategies and content plans across channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube to meet brand, marketing, and commercial objectives.
  • Create, curate, and schedule platform-optimized content static posts, carousels, short-form video (Reels/Shorts/TikTok), stories, livestreams, and paid media assets aligned with brand voice and visual guidelines.
  • Lead community management: respond to comments and messages, moderate conversations, escalate guest issues to operations, and foster positive guest relationships online.
  • Collaborate with creative, video, photography, and copy teams to produce engaging content briefs, shot lists, and post-production requirements for on-property and studio shoots.
  • Plan and execute social-first campaigns for launches, seasonal promotions, events, and partnerships, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and external agencies when needed.
  • Manage social media advertising campaigns in coordination with paid media specialists: audience targeting, budget pacing, creative testing, and performance optimization.
  • Monitor and analyze channel performance and campaign ROI using native analytics and third-party tools; produce regular reports with actionable recommendations to improve engagement, reach, and conversion.
  • Maintain and enforce brand voice, content standards, and platform best practices; ensure all content meets legal/compliance requirements (image releases, music rights, disclosure).
  • Stay current on social trends, platform updates, and competitor activity; recommend new formats, partnerships, influencer strategies, and content experiments to drive growth.
  • Build and manage a content calendar, asset libraries, and post templates to ensure efficient production and consistent execution across multiple hotel and hospitality brands.
  • Coordinate influencer and creator partnerships: outreach, briefing, content review, contract requirements, and measurement of campaign outcomes.
  • Mentor junior social specialists or interns, share best practices, and contribute to team training to raise overall capability and creativity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 35 years of hands-on social media experience, ideally in marketing or hospitality sectors managing brand and community initiatives.
  • Proven track record creating social-first content and managing campaigns that drive engagement and commercial results.
  • Strong knowledge of platform best practices, content formats, publishing tools (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite, Later), and social analytics (native and third-party).
  • Experience with basic content production: briefing photographers/videographers, editing short-form video, and applying captions/subtitles.
  • Familiarity with paid social advertising, audience segmentation, A/B testing, and performance optimization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a flair for brand storytelling and copy tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple brands, calendars, and stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with experience translating metrics into strategic recommendations and clear reporting for stakeholders.
  • Experience working with influencers, creators, or agencies and managing partnership deliverables and contracts.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site shoots, property visits, and events as required.
