Job Description

Role Summary

The Social Media Manager is responsible for owning and executing Allegiant Eyewear's social

presence across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube, ensuring all content is

on-brand, platform-native, and licensor-compliant.

This role blends creative execution with strategic planning, from managing day-to-day

posting and engagement to building forward-looking content calendars aligned to licensor

timelines, sports seasons, product drops, and cultural moments.

You'll collaborate closely with creative, marketing, and licensing stakeholders to ensure content

not only performs, but is approved, compliant, and released at the right moments.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of social strategy, visual

storytelling, and operational discipline.

Areas of Responsibility

Social Media Strategy & Platform Management

  • Own Allegiant Eyewear's presence across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube,

including posting, scheduling, optimization, and engagement.

  • Tailor content formats, storytelling styles, captions, and posting cadence to each

platform's audience and best practices.

  • Manage day-to-day social execution while keeping a long-range view of brand growth

and platform evolution.

  • Monitor comments, DMs, and community engagement; flag trends, opportunities, or

issues to the broader team.

Content Planning & Calendar Ownership

  • Build, maintain, and execute a rolling 46 week content calendar across all platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to plan content around:

Licensor requirements and approval workflows

Seasonal moments (e.g., US college football season, playoffs, holidays)

Product launches, drops, and campaigns

Cultural and platform-native moments

  • Ensure all content is planned, created, and approved in advance, with clear visibility for

stakeholders.

  • Use Monday.com (or similar tools) to track content status, approvals, dependencies, and

deadlines.

Licensor Compliance & Timeline Coordination

  • Partner closely with licensing, creative, and marketing teams to ensure all content:

Meets licensor brand guidelines

Follows required usage rules, disclosures, and timing restrictions

Is released in alignment with approved windows and seasonal relevance

  • Maintain awareness of key licensor calendars (e.g., college football season, league

milestones, media embargoes).

  • Proactively flag risks, conflicts, or gaps in planning that could impact compliance or

timing.

Content Creation & Asset Collaboration

  • Create and/or coordinate on-brand social content, including:

Static posts

Short-form video (Reels, TikToks, Shorts)

Pinterest-optimized formats

YouTube-ready assets (Shorts and longer-form where applicable)

  • Work with existing photo and video assets, selecting and adapting content for

platform-specific use.

  • Design lightweight graphics and layouts using Canva (and Adobe tools as needed).
  • Ensure consistent brand voice, visual language, and storytelling across all platforms.

Performance Tracking & Optimization

  • Track and analyze key performance metrics including engagement, follower growth,

reach, and saves.

  • Use insights to refine content strategy, posting cadence, and creative direction.
  • Share learnings and recommendations with the broader team on a regular basis.
  • Stay current on platform trends, algorithm shifts, and best practices, especially within

fashion, eyewear, sports, and licensed content.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

90-Day Probationary Period

By the end of the first 90 days, the Social Media Manager should demonstrate:

  • Content Calendar Ownership:

A consistently maintained rolling 4-week content calendar

100% of content planned and created at least 5 days in advance

  • Platform Execution:

Confident, independent posting across IG, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube by

Day 60

Platform-appropriate formatting and captions across all channels

  • Licensor Alignment:

Zero missed licensor requirements or compliance issues

Clear understanding of key licensor timelines and seasonal moments

  • Brand Alignment:

90% alignment on internal content reviews with minimal revisions

  • Strategic Initiative:

At least one proactive recommendation to improve engagement, storytelling, or

calendar planning by Day 90

Post-Probationary (Ongoing)

  • Engagement Growth: 1015% increase in engagement across key platforms quarterly
  • Follower Growth: Support 510% follower growth per platform per quarter
  • Execution Speed: 95% of assigned social assets delivered within 4872 hours
  • Revision Efficiency: Maintain a <10% revision rate on content
  • Calendar Visibility: 100% scheduling visibility with weekly planning alignment

  • MUST-HAVES

    • 4+ years of experience in Social Media Management, Content Creation, or Digital

    Marketing

    • Hands-on experience managing Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube accounts
    • Strong proficiency in Canva; working knowledge of Adobe tools (Photoshop, Illustrator,

    Lightroom)

    • Experience planning and executing content calendars in Monday.com or similar tools
    • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
    • Experience working remotely with US-based teams
    • Ability to interpret and apply brand and licensor guidelines accurately
    • Strong aesthetic eye for photography and short-form video
    • Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally and incorporating feedback efficiently

    NICE-TO-HAVES

    • Experience working with licensed brands, sports leagues, or seasonal content

    calendars

    • Familiarity with social analytics tools (Hootsuite, Sprout, Buffer, etc.)
    • Experience editing short-form video (CapCut, Premiere Pro, etc.)
    • Background in fashion, eyewear, lifestyle, or marketplace businesses
    • Project-management mindset with a bias toward proactive planning and optimization
