Job Description

GOOD People Network is an award winning advertising agency based in Manila. We are a fast growing agency working with some of the world's most exciting brands. Since opening our doors in 2020, we have grown to over 120 employees sitting in 5 countries- Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines and Singapore.

About the Role

We're looking for a Social Editorial Lead with a strong editorial background, someone who can merge creative instincts with strategic thinking to shape the voice and content direction of Netflix Philippines across social platforms.

This role leads how our stories are told on social, from Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube to Instagram, X, and Threads, and any new platform that matters next. You'll translate the broader social marketing strategy into smart, platform-native storytelling that drives fandom, conversation, and cultural relevance. You'll guide a team of writers, ensuring every post, caption, and cut reflects Netflix's tone.

Key Responsibilities

Editorial & Content Direction

  • Lead the social content tactics and direction for Netflix Philippines, ensuring alignment with overall marketing and newsroom priorities.
  • Craft compelling hooks, narrative angles, and repeatable editorial formats that cut across all Netflix titles and genres.
  • Set and uphold editorial standards, ensuring every piece of content reflects the Netflix voice, tone, and storytelling DNA.
  • Partner with the Head of Newsroom and Community Engagement Lead to review and evolve audience and channel strategies based on performance insights and creative learnings.

Content Creation & Execution

  • Conceptualize and collaborate on daily programming, including social copy, video scripts, AV formats, strategy decks, and mock-ups.
  • Oversee and review social content to make sure these follow marketing studio relations guidelines across genres (Anime, Korean, Hollywood) and titles (branded, licensed, pre-buy).
  • Co-lead the development of repeatable AV formats, lo-fi reactive shoots, and high-touch video productions, balancing creative ambition with agility.
  • Co-lead title-led campaigns, from ideation to execution, ensuring each activation drives meaningful engagement.
  • Oversee end-to-end content production with third-party vendors, ensuring on-brand storytelling, quality control, and creative excellence.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage and mentor a team of writers, fostering a newsroom culture built on creativity, accountability, and innovation.
  • Drive regular content reviews and performance feedback, helping the team sharpen both craft and strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with the Community and Creative Pods to ensure cohesion between content, community tone, and platform trends.

Audience Development & Insights

  • Identify new audience segments and emerging social behaviors to explore fresh storytelling opportunities across various platforms.
  • Partner with the Community Pod to translate insights into editorial action, ensuring our content evolves with the audience.
  • Champion a test-and-learn mindset, using data and creative experimentation to refine future content decisions.

Tools & Systems

  • Operate internal Netflix tools for sourcing, editing, and publishing social content.
  • Maintain content pipelines, calendars, and asset libraries to ensure seamless coordination across campaigns.

Who You Are

  • An editorial storyteller at heart. You think in headlines, formats, and narratives that travel.
  • Deep understanding of social storytelling, cultural trends, and platform nuances, particularly in the Philippines.
  • 7+ years of experience in editorial, social content strategy, or digital publishing, ideally in entertainment, media, or culture.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor creative teams while collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Skilled in developing both lo-fi content for agility and high-touch productions for impact.
  • Strong writing, editing, and creative direction skills, with a sharp sense of tone, timing, and audience.

Bonus Points

  • Background in journalism, publishing, or creative editorial production.
  • Experience leading multi-platform storytelling projects or newsroom-style teams.
  • Familiarity with post-production workflows, scriptwriting, and video editing processes.
