Your Role as an SMSF Accountant

As an SMSF Accountant, you'll work closely with both onshore and offshore teams, supporting the preparation of accounts, tax returns, and compliance requirements. You'll be guided through a structured Graduate Program designed to build your technical capabilities while contributing to timely, accurate, and compliant client deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

SMSF Accounting and Compliance

• Supervised preparation of accounts, tax returns, monthly processing & BAS for SMSF
• Support monthly processing and compliance engagements
• Ensure work is completed accurately and within set timelines
• Maintain organized and accessible client files

Client and Team Collaboration

• Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders
• Build strong working relationships across onshore and offshore teams
• Provide proactive updated on task progress using Karbon
• Seek clarity on expectations to take ownership of tasks and meet deadlines
• Respond to internal emails within 24 hours
• Participate actively in meetings, training sessions, and culture initiatives

Learning and Development

• Participate in the SMSF Graduate Program and training sessions
• Completion of the Graduate Program and key learning outcomes
• Apply learnings to improve performance and technical capability
• Take initiative in learning new tools, processes, and accounting concepts

Productivity and Time Management

• Manage time effectively and meet productivity targets
• Complete timesheets accurately with proper task narrations
• Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment

What Makes You a Strong Fit

• An undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Science in Accounting or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of SMSF experience using Class Super
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Completed Karbon Certification (to be completed on commencement of employment)
